Neither Slave to Sin or Righteousness

Romans 7:20 Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.

I am either a slave to sin or a slave to righteousness. This is not a cop out statement so we could blame sin instead of self for or wrongs its is pointing out my inability

JESUS said, (John 15:5) "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."

If I do something that bears fruit then I have obeyed JESUS. If I do something that bears bad fruit then I have obeyed SIN.

Thus, it is no longer I who do it, but sin (or JESUS) that dwells in me.
